I’ve become rather upset at the school I am currently at. I am looking to change schools very soon if possible. Does anyone know if student loans to another school as long as the new school is accredited? Or do I have to reapply for loans? Can you even transfer to another school that isn’t accredited but is the same course material?
I love mistyping. That should have asked whether anyone knows whether the loans can be transfered.

I am trying to find alternative student loans to finish my college education. I am receiving enough money in stafford loans to cover my tuition, however I need more to cover my mortgage payment so I can continue school full time for 1 year. Every company I talk to says I can only borrow 60% of the tuition costs for other expenses. I need much more than that. Anyone have any other ideas?

Car Loans asked:

When it comes down to it in today’s world not many people want to go out there not knowing exactly what the process encompasses when they are trying to buy themselves a car either for their own personal luxury or for them to get from place to place with.  You really need to make sure that you have all the knowledge that goes with buying a car already in your head or else you risk ending up having to spend a lot more money then you should be in the first place.  In order for you to make sure that you are going to get the best possible deal on a Guaranteed Auto Loan you are going to want to make sure that you get car finance before you ever walk into a car dealerships car lot.

A Car Finance Loans is simply a way for you to go about paying for the car that you are looking to purchase.  You are going to take out a car loan from a financial lending company and bring it to the car dealership with you.  The reason for going about doing this is because the moment that you bring your own Used Car Finance to a car dealership you are then considered what is known as any cash buyer in that you can buy the car pretty much out right from them just as if you are paying for it in cash in the first place.  You can then you should car finance in order to either buy the car that you want from them or you can also use it to lease a car through them.

If you happen to have gone through the process of buying a car in your past then you more than likely know how a car salesman is going to work with you.  The first thing that they would go about doing is checking your credit score through their third party financing company before they ever begin to negotiate on a fair price for the car that you are looking to purchase a car finance with you.  The moment they go about doing this they are going to then offer you a supposedly special finance deals in any attempt to make you buy the car and finance it through their own third party financing car finance solutions.  This is something that you are going to want to avoid like the plague and is going to end up making you pay a lot more money down the line in the future on the car that you desire simply because you did not take the time and energy to do all the research that is required before getting yourself a car finance that you need.

I have heard of simple interest and fully amortized loans. What do they mean, and how do they differ to me as a lender specifically?

What Loan company will take over my federal student loans when the loans are in default so I can go back to school?
My loans are government loans from Saillie Mae. I owe them under $5000.
I heard about this company that will take over your school loans from them but I don’t know the name of the company.

I am at the point where I can’t get a federal student loan until I pay this off.

I am a college sophomore attending a state school but even so I have already accumulated thousands in student loan debt. I worked 60+ hours a week last summer and that money won’t even last to cover half this year’s rent and utilities! I am trying to cut back spending but really all I buy are groceries and the occasional movie ticket. I don’t even have any transportation costs because the bus is free for students.

I have been unable to find part-time work that fits around my schedule because I need to take a lot of credits or I’m not going to graduate in time which would mean taking out even more loans. I applied for every scholarship I could get a hold of but didn’t get a penny, and my financial aid is absolutely pathetic because my family is in that awful limbo where their tax returns show too much income to get decent aid but too little to actually contribute anything. I am 19 years old, and I am scared out of my mind that I am digging a hole I’m never going to get out of.

A bankruptcy loan is a loan that is availed after bankruptcy. A bad credit score can affect the chances of availing loans easily. However, bankruptcy loans can help you meet all your personal needs despite a bad credit. A borrower can use the loan to get back on the path to financial stability, though. It is a fact that higher interest rates are also quite common in a post bankruptcy loan, as well as low lending amounts. However, there are certain lenders who offer such loans at competitive rates. Kristin Abouelata - Home Loans asked:

It’s not very often that a borrower takes into heavy consideration what his loan to value is when shopping for a loan.  In fact, if the subject is brought up by the customer, it’s mostly in relation to avoiding paying monthly mortgage insurance.  But sometimes, a loan to value can affect even more aspects of your loan – like pricing and approval!

What is loan to value?  Well, it’s exactly what it says.  The loan amount compared to the value of the home you are buying or refinancing.  For example, if you are buying a $100,000 home, and your loan amount is only $50,000, your loan to value or “LTV” is 50%.  It’s also very common to refinance a home to obtain a lower LTV and drop mortgage insurance that was before required.

Different types of loans have different minimum requirements for LTV’s.   With primary residence purchases, for instance, an FHA loan can have as high as a 97.75% LTV (soon to change to 96.5% in 2009).  A conventional loan can have as high as a 97% LTV (but more common is 95% LTV).  VA and Rural Housing loans can have 100% LTV’s.  People who have cash to put down on the property they are buying and financing with a conventional loan oftentimes try to amass 20% of the purchase price in order to avoid mortgage insurance.  Mortgage insurance is required when your LTV for a primary residence is above 80% and is issued by independent mortgage insuring companies like Genworth Financial or PMI.  Fannie and Freddie, the big purchasers of conventional loans, will require one of these or other approved companies issue mortgage insurance unless the loan has an 80% LTV.  And if you’re refinancing the home you live in?  The whole grid of acceptable LTV’s changes for the most part, with a few exceptions.  And furthermore, if you’re talking about investment properties, it’s another can of worms.

But when else does LTV mean something?  Consider when a loan specialist prices your loan.  Oftentimes there are pricing differentials based upon the loan to value.  For instance, if you carry mortgage insurance and your LTV is 85.01% or higher, you might actually get a better interest rate than if you had an 85% LTV (but don’t get too excited because your monthly mortgage insurance will be higher).  Or if your LTV is 60% or lower, you might also get a better interest rate.  If you are close to tipping the scales on one of these ratios, it may be to your benefit to ask your loan specialist how close you are to a pricing break one way or another.  You’d be surprised to find out it might change your mind as to how much money you decide to put down on your loan.

And guess what else?  A low loan to value may be the difference between loan approval and loan denial.  Why is that?  Because if you are investing enough of your own money into the equity of a property, chances are you won’t default on the loan.  And if you do, it’s probably a last recourse.  Not to mention, the lender who holds the note won’t lose money because there is enough equity in the property to cover foreclosure costs, re-sale costs and any value loss from an upside down market.  The lender is covered.  So, the lender will consider the loan less risky and a higher debt to income ratio is tolerated when reviewed with a high credit score.
